Like I said LITLE problems that can be fixed with ease. I love me laptop however it came with a few problems. It is a great little laptop in a very cool color. I can't wait to get her back. The DVD Drive had a loose and striped screw in it and the sound card had intermitent issues. I have sent it back and I am now awaiting its return.
I think this might have more to do with vista than the actual computer, though. I bring up the analogy of the three bears because the screen feels just right.Overall, I definitely recommend this computer. The 14.1" screen is absolutely perfect. High performance will drain the battery quickly (hour-hour and a half), while balanced & power saver do much better. My friend just bought a comparable Gateway model, and I noticed it was slightly bulkier than the cr309e. It's not a difficult process to reinstall them.-Battery Life: The battery life is a little dismal.
It's knocks definitely are outweighed by the positives. First product review, so please bare with me.I got this computer in August, so I've been using it for a few months now. I must say that overall I am very satisfied with it. The computer itself is sleek as well.
I love the brushed silver finish. The interior on the other hand is simply awesome. Vista takes up a lot of memory, so I'm upgrading to 4gig of ram soon. Sony has a reputation of putting out quality products, and this laptop is no exception.
2 is more than sufficient. On to the pros:Wireless: Great wireless card in this computer. It's not a knock against the computer though. I'm going to list my two qualms first because they are relatively minor:-Sound: I've had problems with the sound drivers for about a month now.
Components: I haven't gamed or anything along those lines, but for everyday use this is more than sufficient. Design: The exterior looks great, but it is prone to fingerprints. You are given three modes for viewing the screen when not plugged in. It was easy to set up, and runs great.
did it come with original CDs. I booted it up one morning to read "critical error, please enter original CDs". Nope. Mine broke within the first week. I would like to think it was a rare occurance, but let's just say I won't be buying a Vaio again.
And the software installation is very easy. This laptop came very fast and in good conditions. I like it a lot. It is very small and compact and the blue is beautiful.
But as long as your keep it charged it works great. I love my computer and I only notice one bad thing about it. The battery life after charging is kinda low.
